Seasonal Living Yin Yoga: Spring Retreat

We invite you to come and experience deep rest and relaxation on this one-day Seasonal Living Yin Yoga Retreat in Taradale, Victoria. Join Jane Mallick, Yoga ,and guest teachers Glenn Polley and Carolyn Shurey for this full day package which includes a seasonal lunch made with organic produce from Tara Springs and a tour of the spring garden.
The retreat is designed according the 5-Elements and the energetics of the seasons.
Living and practicing yoga with an understanding of the 5-Elements can help us to align our lives with nature. Yin yoga can support and harmonise the meridians, bringing benefits to our health, well-being, energy levels and vitality.
In this Spring Retreat we focus on the Liver and Gallbladder, the meridians of the Wood Element. Through specific yin yoga postures and intention setting activities we work to create balance and harmony in our visions and dreams along with our plans for implementation
In the morning we will gather at the beautiful Taradale Hall for a morning of discussion, yoga and meditation followed by an overview of the Wood Element with Glenn Polley.
In the afternoon a walking meditation and visit to the gardens @Taraspringslifestyle. Alternate activities will be provided if raining.
We finish the day with a deeply relaxing and healing Yoga Nidra (guided meditation) with Carolyn Shurey.
Beginners and advanced yoga students are welcome. No yoga experience is necessary. Please contact me if you are interested, and unsure if this retreat is for you.

Carolyn Shurey is a qualified yoga teacher specialising in Hatha, Yin and Yoga Nidra. She has been practicing yoga for over 25 years and has taught at Prana House Yoga Studio in Thornbury. What people have said about the retreats…

Seasonal Yin Yoga retreats offer a deep connection with not only yourself, but the season. They allow contemplation, opening and deep relaxation. A melding of the mind, body, spirit and environment. For me, they have become anchor points in the busyness of the year.

Lisa Eastley

A beautifully structured and paced day! Lovely restorative practices, inspirational discussion and lovely food from the garden. I loved the chance to walk outside and explore the space where the food for our lunch had been grown. Learning about the meridians we were focusing on and tracing their lines on our body helped to embed it into my mind to take into my yin practice.

These wonderfully nurturing Seasonal Yin Yoga retreats are perfect for tuning into the energy of the season, and my own desires and needs. Jane creates such a safe and reassuring environment in which to really let go of the external and completely nourish body, mind and soul. A quarterly treat!
