ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Yin yoga works on the 5-elements of nature as understood in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is a deeply focussed and facilitated practice where you drop inwards to feel and release deep tensions held within. Through the process, as you still the mind and let go, you will experience greater clarity and a deeper feeling of inner peace, thereby enhancing your general sense of wellbeing and vitality.
As nature all around us is going through its natural process of change, all peoples who live from the earth instinctively know that the ‘nature’ within them follows the same patterns. Humans go through the cycle of seasons within themselves; the elements are recreated within us. What is happening outside is also happening within us all. Therefore at each season as there is a change of the energies, it is really beneficial for us to tune in and align to these changes.
The late Summer relates to the Earth element. It represents the ground beneath our feet, the connection we have with the world in which we live, and the place from which we receive our nourishment and support.
In this Late Summer workshop, which relates to the Earth Element, we focus on the Spleen and Stomach meridians, along with intention yoga nidra to clarify where you get your nourishment and support in life?
In the season of Late Summer people can experience issues with digestion, the intake and process of getting nourishment (both physical and emotional) and dysregulation with the loss of cycles and rhythms (menstrual, sleeping, breathing and thought processing).
Attending this workshop you will experience and learn practices you can take away to support your health and wellbeing in Late Summer.
