ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

I’m really excited to announce the return of my 1/2 day Seasonal Yin Yoga Workshop.

Yin yoga works on the 5-elements of nature as understood in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is a deeply focussed and facilitated practice where you drop inwards to feel and release deep tensions held within. Through the process, as you still the mind and let go, you will experience greater clarity and a deeper feeling of inner peace, thereby enhancing your general sense of wellbeing and vitality.

As nature all around us is going through its natural process of change, all peoples who live from the earth instinctively know that  the ‘nature’ within them follows the same patterns. Humans go through the cycle of seasons within themselves; the elements are recreated within us. What is happening outside is also happening within us all. Therefore at each season as there is a change of the energies, it is really beneficial for us to tune in and align to these changes.

Spring is the time for birth; its energy gives the power to come alive, to grow, to be reborn. It is the time to sow the seeds for the autumn harvest within ourself.

In this Spring Workshop, which relates to the Wood Element, we focus on the Liver and Gallbladder meridians, along with intention-setting activities and yoga nidra, for you to gain greater clarity of your visions and dreams along with your plans for implementation.

In the season of Spring people can experience fatigue, aching joints, irritability, headaches, and digestive problems.

Attending this workshop you will experience and learn practices you can take away to support your health and wellbeing in Spring.

What people are saying about yin yoga workshops with Jane.

“Jane’s Yin Yoga workshops are warm and welcoming. Whether you are a beginner, or someone who has practiced yoga a lot, there really is something for everyone here. It is very nourishing taking time out for yourself in these seasonal ½ day workshops, and the positive after-effects reverberate long after the workshop” Lisa D.

“Jane’s Yin Yoga Workshops offer a deep connection with not only yourself, but the season. They allow contemplation, opening and deep relaxation. A melding of the mind, body, spirit and environment. For me, they have become anchor points in the busyness of the year”. Lisa E.

“The wonderfully nurturing Yin Workshops with Jane are perfect for tuning in to the energy of the season, and my own desires and needs.  Jane creates such a safe and reassuring environment in which to really let go of the external and completely nourish body, mind and soul. A quarterly treat!” Rachel
